Let's see what' we've been working during the past few days!
Reader's and Writer's Workshop
We've been using strategies to better comprehend non-fiction (expository) texts! One strategy is to determine the text structure of the non-fiction text, then discuss, and then take copious notes after, in order to better understand what it is we're reading! We've also read and discussed "hybrid texts" which are texts that are a combination of a narrative and expository text (think Magic School Bus or Magic Tree House), and knowing when to switch our "narrative glasses" over to our" expository glasses!"
Math
In math we've been working on converting (regrouping) units of measurement in the metric system!
