Reader's Workshop
We practiced the VERY IMPORTANT reading skill of envisioning!
Envision the setting by paying close attention to the details at the beginning of the chapter!
Writer's Workshop
We continued to flesh out our character traits and implemented them into our story we've written as we revised
We also plotted the arc of our story, knowing that we could change the scenes in the arc, thereby, creating multiple arcs! We focused on intensifying the desires and challenges in the scenes we drafted!
Math
We focused on adding up 3 numbers at a time, specifically deciding which digits in the place value were going to be the most efficient
We focused on the strategy of doubling and halving, especially focusing on the skill of halving as it'll help with the 'Think 10s" strategy!
We also used the "Think 10s" strategy to "build down" to the 9s...
...both strategies were implemented in our math assessment today!
We had Pokemon Friday this week as well!
