Monday Evening Edition (April 17, 2017)

Happy Monday folks!

We started the day out focusing in on writers workshop and a strong introductory paragraph for our animal research project! Here is the structure for an introductory paragraph:
  1. Lead (2-3 sentences that hook the reader in)
  2. Topic sentence (A sentence or two that gives a general statement about the topic)
  3. Subtopic sentence (a sentence or two that gives a list of the subtopics that you wrote about)

For math today, we looked for and main use of structure while setting up- and solving equations that deal with the order of operations!

During Reading block,we listened to the story, James and the Giant Peach, and practiced making sensible inferences, making sure that we found clues/evidence in the story to support those inferences!

That about does it! Cheers, and have a good one!
